The water clarification process is integral to the pre-treatment of wastewater. Every wastewater treatment plant has primary and secondary clarifiers to separate settled solids from the wastewater. The primary clarification is sedimentation which is the first integral part of the process. On the other hand, the secondary clarification consists of a biological treatment process to return activated sludge.
